Pre-Departure Events in London a Success!
One of the services that SME offers is the pre-departure events which allow students to meet each other and most importantly receive the necessary information for a smoother relocation.
On January 24th, the students that applied for the Georgian Universities (New Vision University and Caucasus International University) and the Ukrainian Universities (Kiev Medical University and Sumy State University) for the March intake gathered for the pre-departure event where they were informed about the travel dates and the group they were assigned for relocation to the University City. Students were given information about tuition fee payments and the amount of money they will need to carry for different expenses during the first week of their arrival.
All students were given a schedule of tasks that needed to be accomplished upon their arrival, such as, register with the University, open up a bank account, search for private accommodation, buy a local SIM card, apply for internet and apply for a Residence Permit card.
After the presentation, there was time allocated for Q&A’s so as to resolve any queries the students had. SME also organized a networking event where students had the opportunity to socialize and make new friends. When the event ended, SME Team wished all the students the best of luck in their studies and advised them that the Relocation Team will be contacting them with the next steps.
