How did the Applications team help you?

Sarah states, “My experience with SME has been great. They have been very helpful throughout the entire relocation.” She was very satisfied with hoe SME team works. The team also helped her in translating the documents and went as far as helping her in moving to Pleven too. The team also gave her access to a student portal where she connected with other medical students and felt more confident in herself.

What was it like arriving to your new city and getting set up?

Sarah loves the fact that all things are accessible in Pleven and within walking distance of her accommodation and university. She states that even if she has to take a taxi, the taxi drivers are so friendly that she never feels unsafe.

What made it easy to get set up in your new city?

SME made it really easy for her to move as the team was there to guide Sarah all along. She had never been to Bulgaria before and was a bit scared at first but when the SME team got her connected with other students who felt the same as her, she felt much better. SME team helped her get an accommodation too.

What is your favourite thing about your programme?

Sarah finds the course at Pleven very interesting and intriguing. The practicality of the course makes it a great experience for her. She says that working in hospitals and with cadavers, makes it all quite fun.

How has SME helped you achieve your academic dream?

SME has helped Sarah achieve her dream and she says that although medicine is a tough choice if one wants to, then they should definitely pursue their dreams.

What do you like about studying with students from all over the world?

Sarah says the best part about studying at Pleven is that she gets to meet people from all around the world with different backgrounds, which helps her understand different cultures and religions.

Toyomo was very satisfied with SME. He states, “They helped me get my documents in order which made the application to the university a lot smoother.” Then the team helped him get familiar with the area too.

What is your favourite thing about your programme?

According to Toyomo, the course is very practical and this is something he enjoys the most about it.

Elorm was so happy that SME team helped her sort the documents needed for applying to medical university and as a result, she got the admission sooner than she expected.

What was it like arriving at your new city and getting set up?

Elorn says that Pleven is very different from the UK but it was a good difference and because SME team was always there to support her, she never felt strange and easily settled in the new city.

What is your favourite thing about your programme?

Elorm finds it really helpful that all lecturers speak in English thus there is no language barrier between the lecturers and students. She says, “The one thing I do really like is how we have a way more practical feel about it.”

How has SME helped you achieve your academic dream?

According to Elorm if anyone wants to pursue medicine, they should go for it but obviously, keep SME in mind.

What do you like about studying with students from all over the world?

Elorm states that the best part about studying at Pleven is that she gets to meet people from all around the world with different backgrounds, which helps her understand different cultures and religions. So far she had met students from, Zimbabwe, Greece, Germany and South Africa and it was all so overwhelming for her.
