What was the relocation support for moving to study abroad in Europe like?

Dilshan said he received all the information quickly and it provided his itinerary for his first few days in Armenia, Tej states “At the beginning of September, I received an email from the location officer from SME. The information provided told me about the flights I needed to take and the schedule for the first few days in Armenia”

What do you think of Yerevan and the surrounding area?

Yerevan is a fantastic place to study and Dilshan agrees with this by saying Yerevan is a big and beautiful city, I enjoy myself staying here, there are many activities to do here such as clubbing and bowling and many more

What are you looking forward to most in the course?

The idea of studying at the University of Tradition Medicine is very exciting and Dilshan was excited to start the course “I am currently excited to study the first subject of the first semester, which are chemistry, maths and Armenian”

What would you say to someone who is considering studying medicine at the University of Traditional Medicine?

Dilshan gives some advice for prospective students “For those who want to study medicine, I would say it’s a new experience, hard course but it really pays off. Go for it! It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity”

How did you find out about Studying Medicine in Armenia?

Stephen found about SME through a friend, he states “I got in contact with a friend of mine who used the service before

What made it easy to get set up in your new city?

It was very quick and easy to get set up in Yerevan for Stephen because SME had provided him with all the necessary information to get started in a new city. Stephen says “Once we arrived in Yerevan we were all booked into a hotel and the following morning we were given information about sim cards, bank accounts and real estate agents. Before I knew it I was a student at the University of Traditional medicine here in Yerevan, Armenia”

How are you finding living in Yerevan?

Stephen is enjoying the change of scenery from his native country he states, “Living in Yerevan is a lot cheaper than living in Dublin, nights outs don’t cost near as much. There is a great nightlife here and a great music scene”

What helps you most with your Medicine Programme?

There is plenty of support for students at University of Traditional Medicine and Stephen reiterates this by saying “The lecturers are very friendly, they have no problem staying behind after a lecture to explain stuff you don’t understand”

How did you hear about SME and how did you get started with them?

Tej was referred to the program by a teacher and attended one of the open days “A teacher of mine recommended SME to me. We went to one of the open days in London and we really liked their approach to how you apply to Uni. They gave a lot of information and on the following day we called up SME”

How have you found studying medicine at the University of Traditional Medicine

There is a reason why the University of Traditional Medicine is one of Armenia’s top Universities, Tej says “The medicine course in Yerevan is really interesting and amazing to learn”

What has been the best part of your experience?

It is many people’s dream to become a doctor and Tej is living this dream, he states “The best part of my experience is that I am fulfilling my dream to become a doctor”
