What are the Medical University Requirements for Applicants to Study Medicine in Serbia
Prospective candidates must meet the prerequisites listed below before applying to a Serbian Medical University:
1. Diploma or High School certificateEvery candidate should have a valid high school certificate proving that said candidate has undergone 12 years of schooling including 1 year of Chemistry and Biology to be accepted into medical or dental studies.
2. FinancingCandidates must show proof of payment for the first semester of studies as well as declare how they will fund their studies during their course. If funding is from a source other than a candidates legal parent or guardian they will have to show proof of their sponsor/scholarship. However, only Serbian citizens can secure government grants to fund their studies in Serbia.
3. Good HealthCandidates will be required to obtain a medical certificate to prove they are physically and mentally fit to study at a Serbian Higher Education Institution. Candidates must also have health insurance from either a local provider or they may have coverage from their pre-existing health insurance.
4. Fluency in EnglishCandidates must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English, evidence of which can be provided by any certificate issued by a foreign language school or foreign language institute. Candidates from native English-speaking countries are exempt from this requirement.
