Student Loans in Serbia

Student loans are not currently on offer by Serbian financial institutions but the information about what used to be offered can be found here. You may find this information useful while you research your options for studying medicine in Serbia.

Student loans in Serbia are given in the Serbian Dinar (RSD). Usually, loans are only available from financial institutions that have pre-existing agreements with your Academic Institution on choice. The decision to make loans available is entirely up to financial institutions, therefore, Study Medicine Europe does not carry any liability as to whether or not student loans are approved.

Students do not need to repay their loans while they are studying and they will receive a grace period after their study period finishes so they have time to seek employment before they begin their repayments. Repayment of loans usually includes an annual fixed interest rate. On top of this, students who have received a loan are not required to pay any fees or commissions or other expenses related to the granting and management of a loan.

The grace period lasts from the conclusion of the loan agreement until the student’s final exam or thesis depending on the repayment plan that is agreed upon by all those who are involved in the loan agreement. The total amount of the loan is normally repaid in monthly instalment beginning from the end of the grace period. Usually, loan repayments are deferred upon enrollment in full-time training for the next educational qualification.

How Study Medicine Europe Can Help You With Student Loans

While we do not provide a loans service, our team has the expertise and the experience to help you negotiate the type and duration of the student loan, the maximum amount of the loan as well as the grace period before repayment and the duration of the repayment period.
