How do Students that Study Medicine in Romania Understand the Higher Education Accreditation Process

On a national level, the quality of Romanian higher education is ensured and accredited by ARACIS, the “Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education”, which replaced the NCAE (National Council of Academic Evaluation) in 2005. ARACIS is a full member of the ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and is registered with EQAR (European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education). More specifically, ARACIS is an autonomous public board whose main mission is the external evaluation of the quality of Romanian higher education, be this programmes, practical training and teaching methodologies. The Agency ensures that Romanian higher education institutions implement and are aligned with European Higher Education guidelines on quality.

Each level is linked to a number of descriptors, such as knowledge level, competencies and skills.

What are the Official Training Program Languages for Students Who Study Medicine in Romania

Another crucial factor that has been instrumental to boosting Romanian Universities’ fame globally, is the introduction of numerous English and French taught programmes. This fact not only makes it easier to align the quality of Romanian education so as to not be privy to global criteria assessment, but it has also made it easier for numerous international students to flock into the country to enjoy the quality of Romanian education. Thus, it is not surprising that numerous medical professionals trained in Romania are now working all over the world.

Can Students that Study Medicine in Romania Participate in International Study Programs

Assuredly, graduates of Romanian Medical Universities can practice in any country of the world, as all Romanian Medical University Degrees are recognised by local bodies of nearly every country in the world and are accrediting for the medical training they offer, most notably ACGME in the USA and GMC in the UK. To commence medical specialisation in an EU country, graduates should simply register with the local body or respective Ministry of Health responsible for medical residency. For practicing in a non-EU country, medical graduates are required to go through the necessary assessment process, such as the USMLE examination in the US or the MCCEE examination in Canada.
