  • The SEU 4-Year Graduate Medicine Programme is open to applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in a science-related field.
  • The graduate programme involves accelerated study over four years instead of six, with all modules studied in English commencing in Year Three of the undergraduate course.
  • While there are no entry exams for successful applicants, SEU requires candidates to submit analytical academic transcripts with their application paperwork.
  • The graduate programme is very competitive with SEU part of the Erasmus project and many other international networks which attracts many students and faculty members from abroad.
  • Graduate medicine is structured into preclinical modules for one year then students progress to three years of clinical rotations in Georgian hospitals and clinics plus the opportunity to complete international rotations in holidays breaks.

  • SME matches students to rotations in line with their SEU programme modules in professional settings in the UK, Ireland, Australia, the USA, and Canada.
  • Students must apply to SME with documentation comprising:
    • Their CV and preferences for the rotation (duration, the location, facility and department).
    • Confirmed official authorisation of their application from the SEU professor coordinating their medicine programme.
  • SME matches applicants to rotations based on availability at the location, preferences, and programme modules therefore offers are made in offer of application submission.
  • Students who undertake international clinical experience are exposed to new environments and medical systems, learn diverse skills while studying, and build a professional network abroad.

Applicants must provide the following information:

  1. An application which includes the following details: bio, education history and course for which you are applying.
  2. A copy of your secondary education results with subjects studied.
  3. Documents from your home country confirming that you are authorised to study in Georgia.
  4. Two small photos of 4-5cm.

All documents need to be translated into Georgian to satisfy state directives.

+ What is the Graduate Entry Assessment Process?
  • SME facilitates the application and entry to Graduate Medicine Programmes in Georgia for graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field with no entrance exams for successful applicants.
  • SME Assesses applications to the Graduate Programme with the following steps:
    1. Completion of the due diligence process on behalf of the medical university
    2. Comparison of the transcripts of the students from their past studies with the study programme of the medical university
    3. Submission of the comparison for approval to both the respective ministry of education and the medical university itself.
  • SME exclusively offers the 4-Year Graduate Entry Medicine Programme on behalf of their partner universities for students who meet the entry requirements.
