Armenian Medical Schools are internationally accredited and recognized worldwide. They are on the list of World Directory of Medical Schools (WDMS), The IMED (International Medical Education Directory).
On local level Armenian higher education has accomplished major reforms during the last years with establishment of National Framework of Armenian Education Qualifications, which is a general standard system aimed at tying different levels and types of qualifications on a principle from the lowest to the highest. NFAEQ is incorporated into the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and that was added to the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) in 2017. This framework established by European Commission gives an opportunity to the NQFs of each member country to link with the overarching standard framework. This also facilitates student’s mobility through other countries. Furthermore, since 2008 National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA), which is an independent organization implements quality assurance processes through institutional and programme accreditation in preliminary, vocational and higher educational institutions of Armenia.
Another crucial factor worth mentioning that enhanced Armenian Medical Universities reputation was the implementation of English taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Therefore, all Medical Universities of Armenian offer English programmes which enables foreign students to have access to Armenian high quality education and assess the excellence of studies from international perspective. Should be noted that professionals who studied in Armenia currently are high ranked specialists working in different parts of the world.
Beyond dispute graduates from any Armenian Medical University are entitled to practice abroad as all Armenian Medical School Degrees are internationally accredited and are recognized by local bodies of nearly all countries over the world.
