Plovdiv MU 2018 Relocation completed: The Journey Begins
This year’s group of 1st year students completed their relocation to the city of Plovdiv on September 21st where a few days later they would be starting their courses at Plovdiv MU.
They traveled to Sofia Airport in Bulgaria where they were met by the local SME team who organized their transfer to Maritza hotel and settled into their rooms that had been booked on their behalf. That evening, there was a briefing by the local team on was to occur in the following days and to answer any and all questions. Real estate agents were there and spoke to each student individually to understand their requirements regarding accommodation. All the students had the opportunity to choose one of two unique SIM card packages, exclusive to SME students. The following day, students were escorted to register at the university by the city managers which only lasted about 10 minutes for each student since most of the paperwork had already been completed by the students the day before at the briefing. After a tour of the university campus, students were taken to a local bank to open a bank account and after a couple of days on to the local immigration office to get a Bulgarian ID Card.
A Meet and Greet was organized on Saturday, September 29th, where students had the chance to socialize and meet other students from previous years who gave them a lot of insight information and study tips.
SME would like to wish all the best to these students and to remind them that, some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen.
