  • The undergraduate course (5 or 6 years) is made up of pre-clinical and clinical years. Over the course of the pre-clinical years, candidates will study for a BSc degree in a subject that is related to the Sciences (e.g. Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science etc) at an accredited university in Britain, the EU or in a non-EU country). Throughout the Summer, you will spend two months completing medical modules at the NVU campus in Georgia. In the clinical years, students will attend lectures and clinical rotations at British and Georgian Hospitals.
  • The graduate entry course (4 years) involves one pre-clinical year and three clinical years. You will spend the pre-clinical year at the NVU Georgia campus. During the clinical years, you will attend lectures and complete clinical rotations at British and Georgian Hospitals.
  • Intakes for this programme take place in October and March.
  • The NVU is well-equipped with high-tech labs and medical equipment.
  • New Vision University has been featured in several notable medical directories and associations including the WDMS and FAIMER.
+ The 6-Year Undergraduate Medicine Programme

This programme is divided into pre-clinical and clinical years.

Pre-Clinical Years
  • Students can complete up to the first 2.5 years of the undergraduate programme online temporarily due to Covid-19.
  • Online study offers you greater flexibility to personalise your programme to your unique study and personal needs.
  • You will study via recorded video lectures from your British and Georgian professors.
  • You can also study via live streamed lectures and use the interactive teaching platforms to ask questions while studying.
  • You will have access to a Question Bank to test your theoretical studies at the completion of each module.
  • You will also complete online exams that will consist of multiple choice and open answer questions.

Pre-Clinical Years
  • During the pre-clinical years, you will complete a BSc degree in any accredited university (be it in the UK, the EU, or a non-EU country) in a science-related field such as Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Nursing etc.
  • During the two-month summer period, you will complete medical studies online or at the NVU Georgian campus. Online study is temporary due to Covid-19.

+ The 5-Year Accelerated Medicine Programme

This programme is divided into pre-clinical and clinical years.

Pre-Clinical Years
  • Students can complete up to the first 1.5 years of the programme online temporarily due to Covid-19 or on-campus. The remainder of Year Two (six months) is spent studying laboratories and medical diagnosis modules at NVU Georgia.
  • Online study gives students a personalised learning pathway to suit each student’s unique academic and social needs.
  • Students can watch pre-recorded video lectures from their British and Georgian professors.
  • Your Professors will also live-stream their classes through an interactive teaching platform where you can ask live questions.
  • At the end of each module, you can use the Question Bank to test your theoretical knowledge.
  • Your exams will be online and include MCQs and Open Questions.

  • During Years Three to Five of clinical study, you have the option to complete clinical rotations and lectures in the UK, depending on availability.

This programme is divided into pre-clinical and clinical years.

  • The five-year programme begins in the second year of a medicine-related BSc course in a science-related field (e.g. Nursing, Pharmacy etc.) studied at a university in the UK, the EU, or a non-EU country. SME will assess your BSc degree as only specific degree types are eligible for the programme.
  • During the two-month summer period, you will complete medical studies online due to Covid-19 or at the Georgian NVU campus.

  • New Vision University offers a four-year medicine pathway for graduate students.
  • To qualify, you will need to have a Bachelor of Science degree in a subject related to medicine.
  • As part of their application, candidates need to submit analytical transcripts of previously completed courses.
Pre-Clinical Year
  • Students spend Year One at the New Vision University campus in Tbilisi, Georgia.
  • Students have the temporary option of studying up to their first year online during Covid-19.

+ What Does the Online Study Involve?
  • Undergraduate and Graduate students at NVU UK have a programme offering online study as a personalised study option.
  • Students have the option to complete their pre-clinical modules either on-line or on-campus which offers them flexibility in their studies and tuition costs.
  • Depending on your medicine programme, your pre-clinical online modules are:
    • 6-Year Undergraduate Course – up to the first 2.5 years online
    • 5-Year Accelerated Undergraduate Course – up to the first 1.5 years online
    • 4-Year Graduate Course – up to the first year online
  • This option is temporary across medicine programmes due to Covid-19.
+ What Do the Lectures Entail?
  • The teaching will include hands-on experience in medical practicing equipment and training in measurement, reading, and evaluating results.
  • Modules comprising practical training to ensure competency in medical machines and equipment.
  • It includes various mandatory training with equipment as resuscitation and anaphylaxis management equipment.
+ What Do the Clinical Rotations Entail?
  • Attending clinical ward rounds, presentations and teachings.
  • Learning patient disease management with consultants and with senior training registrars.
  • Hands-on experience with patient disease clerking.
  • History-taking.
  • Hands-on clinical examination.
  • Attending errands related to patient disease management, pathology testing, taking bloods, and other investigations.
  • Attending and learning other ward procedures such as catheter change.
  • Attending outpatient clinics.
  • Learning to write discharge letters and admission notes.
  • Learning clinical skills and communication to patients and families
  • Participation in on-call duties and learning on-call procedure with the assigned doctor.

Applicants must provide the following information:

  1. An application which includes the following details: bio, education history and course for which you are applying.
  2. A copy of your secondary education results with subjects studied.
  3. Documents from your home country confirming that you are authorised to study in Georgia.
  4. Two small photos of 4-5cm.

  1. Valid immigration status (i.e. you should be able to stay in the UK without a Visa)
  2. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  3. Medical Screening (this is a report with vaccinations etc.)
  4. Occupational Clearance (i.e. a local GP will need to issue a letter that the student is fit to study)
  5. Register with a local GP practice
