  • The undergraduate course (5 or 6 years) is made up of pre-clinical and clinical years. Over the course of the pre-clinical years, candidates will study for a BSc degree in a subject that is related to the Sciences (e.g. Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science etc) at an accredited university in Britain, the EU or in a non-EU country). Throughout the Summer, you will spend two months completing medical modules at the NVU campus in Georgia. In the clinical years, students will attend lectures and clinical rotations at British and Georgian Hospitals.
  • The graduate entry course (4 years) involves one pre-clinical year and three clinical years. You will spend the pre-clinical year at the NVU Georgia campus. During the clinical years, you will attend lectures and complete clinical rotations at British and Georgian Hospitals.
  • Intakes for this programme take place in October and March.
  • The NVU is well-equipped with high-tech labs and medical equipment.

+ The Six-Year Programme

This programme is divided into pre-clinical and clinical years.

Pre-Clinical Years
  • During the pre-clinical years, you will complete a BSc degree in any accredited university (be it in the UK, the EU, or a non-EU country) in a science-related field such as Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Nursing etc.
  • During the two-month summer period, you will complete medical studies at the NVU Georgian campus.
MD: Year 1 Spend the 1st year studying for a BSc degree + 2 months of summer studies at the NVU Georgian campus
MD: Year 2 Spend the 2nd year studying for a BSc degree + 2 months of summer studies at the NVU Georgian campus
MD: Year 3 Spend the 3rd year studying for a BSc degree + 2 months of summer studies at the NVU Georgian campus
Clinical Year
  • During the clinical years, you can choose to complete your clinical rotations and lectures in the UK, depending on availability.
  • Students can split their time between the UK and Georgia.

+ The Five-Year Accelerated Programme
Pre-Clinical Years
  • Students will commence the five-year programme in the second year of a medicine-related BSc course in a science-related field (e.g. Biomedical Science, Pharmacy etc.) in any accredited university be it in the UK, the EU, or a non-EU country. SME will need need to assess your BSc degree as only specific type of degrees are eligible for the Five-Year Accelerated Programme.
  • During the two-month summer period, you will complete medical studies at the Georgian NVU campus.

Clinical Year
  • During the clinical years, you can choose to complete your clinical rotations and lectures in the UK, depending on availability.
  • Students have flexibility in how they divide their time between the UK and Georgia.

+ What Do the Lectures Entail?
  • The teaching will include hands-on experience in medical practicing equipment and training in measurement, reading, and evaluating results.
  • It involves hands on training & up skill in operating the machines.
  • It includes various mandatory training with equipment as resuscitation and anaphylaxis management equipment.
+ Graduate Entry Medicine Programme
  • New Vision University offers a four-year Graduate Entry pathway.
  • To qualify, you will need to have a Bachelor of Science degree in a subject related to medicine.
  • As part of their application, candidates need to submit analytical transcripts of previously completed courses.
Pre-Clinical Year
  • The student will spend year one at the New Vision University campus in Tbilisi, Georgia.

  • During years two to four, the student will complete clinical rotations and lectures at British hospitals.

+ What Do the Clinical Rotations Entail?
  • Attending clinical ward rounds, presentations and teachings.
  • Learning patient disease management with consultants and with senior training registrars.
  • Hands-on experience with patient disease clerking.
  • History-taking.
  • Hands-on clinical examination.
  • Attending errands related to patient disease management, pathology testing, taking bloods, and other investigations.
  • Attending and learning other ward procedures such as catheter change.
  • Attending outpatient clinics.
  • Learning to write discharge letters and admission notes.
  • Learning clinical skills and communication to patients and families
  • Participation in on-call duties and learning on-call procedure with the assigned doctor.

Applicants must provide the following information:

  1. An application which includes the following details: bio, education history and course for which you are applying.
  2. A copy of your secondary education results with subjects studied.
  3. Documents from your home country confirming that you are authorised to study in Georgia.
  4. Two small photos of 4-5cm.
+ Admission Documents for Clinical Rotations in the UK

You will need to provide the following:

  1. Valid immigration status (i.e. you should be able to stay in the UK without a Visa)
  2. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  3. Medical Screening (this is a report with vaccinations etc.)
  4. Occupational Clearance (i.e. a local GP will need to issue a letter that the student is fit to study)
  5. Register with a local GP practice
  6. Indemnity Insurance
  7. An up-to-date CV
  8. Valid transcript from previous years
