Birmingham Open Day – A Brilliant Success
On Sunday, March 1st, SME hosted their first Open Day of 2020 in Birmingham. Over 500 students and their families attended to speak with existing students who were eagerly awaiting to share their personal experiences at the University kiosks.
All attendees were then seated as SME presented the advantages of studying abroad, including the 4 year graduate entry program and the opportunity to do clinical rotations in the UK. Dr Anil Sachdev, a successful doctor in the UK and guest speaker, shared his experience and the reason why he decided to study medicine in Europe. The presentation ended with two very fortunate students winning scholarships for 50% of their tuition fees for the duration of their studies.
After the presentation, the SME team and university students continued to speak with prospective applicants and their families on a one on one basis. The event concluded when the SME team verified that all attendees were fully satisfied with the information they had received.
