SME’s 2016 Annual Open Day completed with unforeseen success

Study Medicine Europe’s 2016 Annual Open Day held in London on Saturday, August 20th rang down the final curtain on a series of greatly successful events within and outside the UK.

The event, accommodated at the imposing Central Hall Westminster, brought together over two thousand enthusiastic students with their families and friends who filled the venue expecting to meet each other and network before the start of the forthcoming academic year and eager to meet up with the SME team of recruitment managers. Current medical and dental students welcomed our excited guests at the different kiosks of our partner universities that had been set up outside the event hall and were happy to meet them and answer every single question they had.

Attendees also included an array of very special guests who spared their precious time to arrive all the way from Eastern Europe to honour us with their presence. Members of the management of our partner universities, as well as eminent political figures, such as the former Prime Minister of Bulgaria and distinguished business people attended SME’s Annual Open Day with great excitement, stating that they were really impressed by the turn out of the event and the growing interest of British students in the English-taught programmes offered by European universities.

The Open Day featured presentations on numerous topics, all focusing around medical, dental and veterinary studies in Europe. The line-up of speakers, comprised of SME’s Student Recruitment Managers, current students and parents and a graduate from a Romanian medical university, delineated everything regarding studying Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary abroad, highlighting every single aspect of the matter up to even after what happens graduation, leaving the audience with no questions unanswered.

“The open day was a very useful insight into what I should be expecting when I study abroad. The speeches really provided me with confidence and motivation to fulfill my dreams!” exclaimed one of the soon-to-be first year students, adding “It got rid of any doubts and fears I had in my mind about spending 6 years there. I am really looking forward to starting this amazing adventure”.
