How did you find out about Studying Medicine in Georgia?
Malaika’s SME experience went very smooth as she learned about SME from her sister who is a second-year student. She states, “My SME experience has been amazing, it’s been great, it’s been smooth. I learned about SME through my sister who is a second-year student, and her experience was amazing.”
What made it easy to get set up in your new city?
For Malaika, it was a very difficult to move to a place with a language barrier, but she says, “our course had Bulgarian classes as part of our course”, and that helped her get well settled in Bulgaria.
What is your favourite thing about your programme?
The best thing Malaika finds about the course is that the lectures are online, and she gets to have access to all the material online. She is very appreciative of the fact that she can approach professors about all her queries. The course is very practical. She says that the Moodle account helps the students a lot as she can always go back to the lectures.
What do you like about studying with students from all over the world?
Malaika has become more confident in herself. She feels much more independent ever since she has been to Trakia.
How did the Applications team help you?
The team of SME was very helpful to Abraham. He states that they helped him throughout his documentation process and did the most difficult task of getting them verified as well. He states that the instructions given to him very clear and the whole team took it upon themselves to make his dream come true.
What made it easy to get set up in your new city?
The friendly nature of people of Bulgaria is something, which made it very easy for Abraham to adjust here. The town is small, so people know everybody around, and it creates a sense of safety. The standard of living is also good.
What helps you most with your Medicine Programme?
The course is difficult as its medicine according to Abraham, but he appreciates that all the professors are so helpful that they make the course look easier. The professors give out A to Z curriculum so students know well before time what they should expect.
How has SME helped you achieve your academic dream?
According to Abraham, “if you want to do medicine, don’t think twice, just go and chase your dream as there are loads of opportunities.” He recommends seeking SME’s guidance to all students.
What was it like arriving to your new city and getting set up?
Umar states that the SME team was so efficient and professional that he was out of the airport within twenty minutes of his arrival. He was taken to the hotel where he got a presentation along with other students, which really helped him understand the dynamics of how these couples of next years are going to turn out. He was so happy with the fact that he had a sim card and bank account opened within a couple of hours of landing in Bulgaria.
How has SME helped you achieve your academic dream?
Umar suggests that “Anyone who wants to study medicine should contact SME”. SME helped him achieve his dream of studying medicine and is highly recommended by Umar to everyone.
What do you like about studying with students from all over the world?
Umar finds it really interesting that all the students are very supportive and helpful, be it his classmates or his seniors. He is excited to be studying with people from different backgrounds which helps him understand different cultures too.
