How was your application experience with SME?

Ibrahim had a great experience with SME. Speaking of the services he has received he says,‘’From the beginning they have been providing us with a variety of information, from entry exams and Biology and Chemistry portals that they have, SIM packages, how to set up bank accounts here and how to apply for a Bulgarian ID.’’

How is living in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria and how have you adjusted?

Stara Zagora has made quite an impression on Ibrahim. He says,‘’I think Stara Zagora is a beautiful city. It is serene, and I love the atmosphere here and lucky for me my apartments are only 10 minutes away from the university so every morning I don’t have to walk too far to get to my classes.’’

What is the best part of studying medicine at Stara Zagora?

Ibrahim is really excited about his studies. He shares, ‘’I love the course personally and I think anyone would love it as long as their heart is into it.’’

Did you find anything too difficult about your move to Bulgaria?

Talking about the challenges of pursuing medical studies abroad and adapting to a new environment Ibrahim says, “I quickly adjusted to this, and I came to love the independence that I got from here.’’

How did you find the assistance from the SME local team in Bulgaria?

Arya is truly satisfied with the service from the local team. He says ‘’The local team are very friendly, and they were very good at helping us sort our accommodation out, getting our phone bill sorted, getting a registered at the university and showing us around the city.’’

What are the medical programmes like at Trakia?

Arya is very happy with the programme and praises his professors. He says, ‘’The professors are also very good, they speak a very good level of English, and they are never hesitant to give help when you ask for it. They provide adequate resources for you to learn the content and because of their efforts I find myself in a very stable and very settled in this university.’’

What has been the best part of your experience so far moving to Stara Zagora?

Arya is very enthusiastic about his move and says, ‘’The best part of the experience for me so far is meeting lots of different people, experiencing lots of different cultures and seeing how life works over here.’’

What would you say to anyone wanting to study medicine abroad?

Making it your end goal is what counts for Arya. His advises, ‘’I would say if you are looking at studying in medicine, make sure you are 100% dedicated to the course and make sure you know what the outcome is going to be.’’

How was your application experience with Study Medicine Europe?

Tanaya was initially intimidated by the application process, but SME made things very simple. He says, ‘’A lot of documents were required in order to get here, but SME were extremely helpful in receiving the documents and handing them in.’’

Can you tell us what it’s like to live in Stara Zagora?

Tanaya is delighted with his new surroundings and tells us, ‘’I like how calm and relaxed the atmosphere is here and everything is in walking distance and if not, I can get a taxi which is really cheap and easy and in my free time I go to the many restaurant, bars and cafes in the city with my friends.’’

What has been the best part of your experience with your move to a new city?

The journey to move for studies abroad has been rewarding for Tanaya. She reflects, ‘’I found the best part of the experience has been the newfound independence. I can now look after myself a lot better than I could a few months ago.’’

What would you stay to anyone considering the programme?

Tanaya encourages everyone to follow their dreams. He says, ‘’If you are thinking of studying veterinary medicine or normal medicine, I say go for it. As long as you are fully interested it is a great experience.’’
