BBC coverage of SME’s Manchester Open Day

It was hard to find an empty seat on Saturday, April 29 at the Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel during Study Medicine Europe’s Open Day. More than 350 perspective medicine, dentistry, and veterinary science students came to find out all there is to know about the opportunity to study at one of 10 fully accredited universities affiliated with SME.

BBC crew was also in attendance, proving that SME’s continuing efforts to enable students to expand their horizons and achieve their academic goals by studying medicine abroad are gaining a lot of media attention across the UK.

BBC’s Health Editor Hugh Pym interviewed Aris Grigoriou, one of SME’s student recruitment managers in order to find out more about the fully accredited medical, dentistry and veterinary studies English courses offered by Romanian and Bulgarian Medical Universities. When asked why he thinks these courses are becoming increasingly popular among UK students Mr. Grigoriou replied: “I strongly believe this is due to a combination of factors – the high quality of education provided by our partner universities, the fact that all courses are taught entirely in English, and, of course, the proven support Study Medicine Europe provides to all students from the moment they decide to apply, throughout their time spent at the university and even post-graduation when we are right there for our students in order to ensure a seamless transition back to the UK”.

We are delighted that the BBC, along with the hundreds of visitors who attended the Manchester Open Day, recognize the importance of our services.
