SME lucky draw is postponed temporarily due to technical reasons from the extremely high number of participants

As a result of the unrepeated popularity of our Scholarship Draw, SME has received over 10,000 registrations just within the past fortnight, rendering it technically challenging for us to deliver the Draw as per SME standards.

More specifically, our website has received a high number of electronic attacks through countless fake registrations and our staff are currently working hard to confirm every single registration. Additionally, it has come to our attention that some clients seem not to have received the automatic e-stamp which can verify their participation in the contest, as the aforementioned attacks resulted in our servers’ going down and in our losing some registrations.

In order for SME to be able to deliver the contest on time without any technical issues and at the same time protect the privacy and confidentiality of the website users, as per the UK Data Protection Act Requirements, we have decided to postpone the contest (according to paragraph 3.G of Terms and Conditions of the Draw), until all technicalities have been resolved. SME has already appointed a platform provider with the required technical experts, so that our contest can be delivered on time without any further IT complications. Furthermore, law firm Notable Services LLP has been appointed as an independent referee to keep the transparency and confidentiality that a company of our level would provide.

To compensate our customers until the Lucky Draw goes live again, we have decided to increase the number of Scholarships offered, therefore multiplying their chances of winning.

We recommend you stay in touch and check for updates about the status of the contest regularly.
