Greatly awaited Open Day Event turns out a huge success!

Over a thousand five hundred enthusiastic prospective students with their families and friends arrived at the Grand Westminster Hall to be part of Study Medicine Europe’s Annual Open Day on Saturday, 29th August 2015. The imposing building with the striking architecture right in the heart of the centre was filled with students who had the opportunity to network and share their insights and their excitement before relocating to Bulgaria and Romania for the first time.

Recruitment Manager Anthony Karapanos welcomed the guests at the opening of an event with an appealing speech, greeting existing students and visitors and describing the opportunity Study Medicine Europe offers in order to help aspiring doctors, dentists and vets to actualize the career of their dreams. The next speaker to approach the podium was a guest speaker Lydia Koycheva, presenting Plovdiv Medical University, one of the best medical universities in the country of Bulgaria, followed by the Country Manager of Bulgaria Nikola Trifonov, who offered a lot of useful information about life in his country. A number of med students from all of our partner universities shared their experiences with the audience, highlighting the reasons why opting for these Bulgarian and Romanian universities was the best choice they could make, before Dr. Anil Sachdev, a Romanian Medical University graduate described what it was like to work in the UK as a registered doctor. The event came to an end with a Q&A session led by Recruitment Manager Aris Grigoriou among students, parents and visitors.

All around the hall there were kiosks of all our partner universities with students eager to advise and inform guests and answer all their questions.

“Thank you for this amazing event”, exclaimed student Mohammed Choudhry. “The student recruiters were really helpful, the speeches very informative and it was definitely worthwhile. I’m really excited about meeting all the other students here and I can’t wait to finally start the year in Bulgaria”.
