+What is the 6-Year Undergraduate Medicine Course?

This programme offers students the opportunity to graduate with a medical degree choosing either an Online or BSc route.

The Online Route:
  • This programme can be tailored to your individual needs and gives you flexibility in terms of tuition fees.
  • Study is based around a range of resources for academic development in the medical degree including live-streamed classes, video lectures, question banks to test theoretical knowledge, and online exams.
  • Your six-year programme involves pre-clinical modules studied online or on-campus for up to 2.5 years, followed by a semester of on-campus laboratories and medical diagnoses, before three years of lectures and clinical rotations.
  • You will complete on-campus clinical study for the final three years of your course with lectures and practical modules at British and Georgian hospitals.
  • Online study is temporarily available due to Covid-19.

The BSc Route
  • For the first three pre-clinical years, students complete a BSc degree at an accredited university (in the UK, the EU, or a non-EU country) in a science-related field such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, etc.
  • During each Summer, you will spend two months studying medical modules either online due to Covid-19 or at the New Vision University Georgian campus.
  • Your final three years of the 6-Year Course involves on-campus clinical study including lectures and hospital rotations at British and Georgian hospitals.
  • Online study for summer modules is available due to Covid-19.

+What is the 5-Year Accelerated Undergraduate Medicine Course?

This programme offers students the opportunity to graduate with an accelerated medical degree completed via the Online or BSc route.

The Online Option:
  • Online learning can be tailored to you which gives greater flexibility in terms of tuition fees and the programme itself.
  • The online study course is for up to the first 1.5 years and consists of recorded video lectures, live-streamed classes, question banks, online exams and more.
  • For the second half of Year Two, you will study labs and medical theory on-campus at NVU Georgia then you will complete the final three clinical study years at either the NVU UK or NVU Georgia, depending on availability.
  • Clinical study structure involves you studying on-campus lectures and completing clinical rotations at British and Georgian hospitals.
  • Online study is a temporary option due to Covid-19.

  • BSc students begin their medical studies in the second year of a medicine-related BSc course in a science-related field such as Biomedical Science, Pharmacy etc.) at an accredited university in the UK, Europe or another international university. SME assesses your BSc degree as only specific degrees are eligible for this programme.
  • In the first two years, students complete two months of Summer medical studies online or on-campus at NVU Georgia
  • Your online studies include video lectures, interactive live streaming, online exams and question banks.
  • Years Three to Five of clinical study are studied on-campus with lectures and practical rotations at British and Georgian hospitals.

+What is the 4-Year Graduate Entry Medicine Course?
  • When you study this course, you have flexible study options to support your personal needs.
  • Admission to the graduate course requires a Bachelor of Science (or science-related degree such as Pharmacy, Nursing etc.). This degree is assessed with prior learning by SME as part of the application process.
  • The course consists of one year pre-clinical study and then you will complete three years of clinical training.
  • During your first year, you are able to complete up to one year of studies online.
