  • This programme offers undergraduate students a dentistry degree with on-campus study in the UK and in Georgia.
  • Students on this route study preclinical dentistry modules on-campus in the UK at a brand new dentistry campus as well as on-campus in Georgia.
  • Students study two years of preclinical dentistry modules in the UK then undertake clinical training and lectures.
  • For Years One and Two, students attend lectures on-campus in Derby in the UK.
  • Years Three to Five involve dentistry training and lectures with clinical modules and dentistry procedures studied in dental clinics and practices.
  • The dentistry qualification is a high-level degree and offers students the opportunity to gain experience in different regions then work globally.
  • Students will complete the majority of the studies in Georgia.

+What is the 4-Year Graduate Entry Dentistry Course?
  • The Graduate Entry Dentistry Programme is a competitive course that trains dentists in world-class facilities and clinics.
  • Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in a science-related field such as Biomedical Science and to submit academic transcripts to apply.
  • The programme comprises accelerated study with a structure of one year of preclinical modules and three years of clinical dentistry modules with training.
  • For Year One, students study on-campus in Derby, UK with lectures, laboratories and seminars that make up the preclinical modules of dentistry fundamentals.
  • Years Two to Four, students proceed to clinical modules consisting of more lectures and practical dentistry training in dental practices and facilities.

  • The university has secured a 44,000 sq. ft. building in Derby that will be a Medicine and Dentistry Campus with state-of-the-art facilities including lecture and seminar spaces, medical and dentistry equipment, and scientific laboratories.

+What are the Graduate Entry Requirements?

The 4-Year Graduate Entry Programme is only open to students who have completed a Bachelor of Science (or related science degree such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedicine etc.) at a university in the UK, Europe, or outside the UK with these academic transcripts assessed as part of the application process.

Applicants must provide the following information:

  1. An application which includes the following details: bio, education history and course for which you are applying.
  2. A copy of your secondary education results with subjects studied.
  3. Documents from your home country confirming that you are authorised to study in Georgia.
  4. Two small photos of 4-5cm.
+Dental Council Requirements for Recognising Dentistry Degrees
  • Prior to application for the Overseas Registration Exam, international dental graduates must submit a record of their clinical experience and dental degree.
  • The General Dental Council (GDC) in the UK specifies a minimum of 1600 hours of clinical experience which:
    • Comprise hours spent completing appropriate investigations and/or administering dental treatment
    • Do not comprise time spent observing dentists or assisting other dentists/dental students
  • The 1600 hours of clinical experience can be:
    • From during the dental degree,
    • During post-qualification experience, or,
    • A combination of degree and post-qualification experience

    • Students are advised to have a formal explanation prepared, on request, including evidence and exception documentation for online studies completed during Covid-19.
