GMC Complied Graduate Entry Courses in Georgia

We would like to inform prospective students that the only graduate entry medicine programmes in Georgia that comply with the GMC’s rules are offered by New Vision University and Caucasus International University.
A complied MD programme has to offer 5,500 Clock Hours over a minimum period of 3 years excluding any hours recognized from BSc degrees. According to the GMC’s guidelines, Clock Hours should comprise only of lectures and clinical training, while hours spent in exams and carrying out independent work are not included.
Despite opposite claims, Universities such as European University, offer Graduate Entry programmes that do not comply with the GMC criteria for acceptable overseas qualifications as they are missing 5,500 Clock Hours to be completed within the graduate entry study period, leading students into investing time and funds on a degree that will not allow them to practice medicine in the UK.
The most pivotal factors to consider when choosing a medical degree is that it guarantees transition into professional life. Therefore, potential students should be aware of such requirements while choosing compliant programmes.
